From time to time I do things to simply please
myself. These are not done for a specific client and are available for
purchase. Likewise, if things that appear here feed your desire for something special
that “might be”… I’d love to listen.
Christ Star

The “Christ Star” carved using only a square, a compass and a chisel, is a
test of a carver’s skill from the middle ages. Also known as a “Unity Star”
it is a potent symbol of more than one philosophical tradition. It is built
of triangles, developed into pentagrams, that interlock to form a 12 pointed
star.
Approximately 5 3/8 inches in diameter.
Weight approximately 5 pounds.

Door to the Otherworld

The “Door to the Otherworld” pays homage to a group of Welsh Water Faeries,
the Gwragedd Annwn {Gwrageth Anoon}, who made their home on an island in the
middle of a lake. Legend recounts how the only way to their island was by
entering a door in a boulder on the shore. Mortals as well as Faeries were
both permitted entrance until a mortal removed a fallen blossom from the
island, in violation of their wishes. From that day to this, the door has
remained firmly shut. Until this stone, that is, in which the Door is left
ajar… with a definite sense of promise. It isn’t hard to imagine once again
the fall of little feet that eroded the stone door sill, or the expansion of
the Door’s sliver of darkness into one of full openness.

Approximately 3' 6" high, 3' 8" wide and 1' 5" thick.
Approximately 9.1 cubic feet. Approximate weight 1,300 pounds.
